The most armed man in America says he’s sold MORE guns in the last three weeks than the last eight months after two of the worst mass shootings in US history

The most armed man in America says he’s sold more guns out of his Colorado Springs compound in the past three weeks than in the last eight months after two deadly mass shootings in Las Vegas and Texas.

Mel Bernstein, 71, became known as the most heavily armed man after he got thousands of high-powered weapons, bazookas and machine guns.

He claims to have over 4,000 weapons at his compound known as Dragonland, which includes a gun shop, six shooting ranges, military museum, paintball park, motorcross park and his home.

In the aftermath of two of the worst mass shootings in American history, Bernstein is having record sales.

‘We’ve been selling more guns in the last three weeks than we have in the last eight months,’ Bernstein said to ABC News.

Bernstein also said his gun shop sold out of bump stocks shortly after the Las Vegas massacre, which killed 58 people and injured over 500.

The gun owner is nicknamed ‘Dragon Man’ in reference to the name of his gun store and compound.

‘They were only $185,’ Bernstein said. ‘In two days [after the Oct. 1 Vegas attack], we sold all of them.’

Earlier this week, a shooter opened fire at a church in Sutherland, Texas, killing 26 people.

Only about three percent of Americans own half of the country’s 265 million guns. These owners have an average of 17 guns each.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is unable to confirm whether Bernstein has the most weapons in the U.S.

Stephen Paddock, the Las Vegas shooter, allegedly had a collection of 47 guns found in the hotel suite as well as his two homes.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is unable to confirm whether Bernstein has the most weapons in the U.S.

‘ATF cannot quantify who possesses the most firearms in America because there is no database to reference this information,’ an ATF representative wrote in response to an inquiry from ABC News. ‘A firearm registry or database of individuals who own firearms regulated under the Gun Control Act (GCA) does not exist.’

Hundreds of rounds of automatic gunfire were reported by witnesses on the scene; one woman in the Mandalay Bay said that there was a shooter on the 32nd floor, and that they had killed a security guard

Bernstein’s wife, Terry Flanell, was killed on the property during the filming of a promotional piece for a new Discovery Channel. She was struck by two smoke bombs travelling at 150mph.

He now keeps four female mannequins at his home.

‘I need someone to talk to, to tell them my problems,’ Bernstein said.
